Virtual Magic Show
In lieu of the pandemic, Dennis wrote a one-man magic show to perform virtually. Inspired by psychedelic themes of introspection and paradox, he developed a narrative to portray the heightened emotions of madness and uncertainty we all experienced ephemerally through our time in lockdown.
Dennis debuted his performance in 2021 in collaboration with Stop AAPI Hate, a nonprofit organization to fight against hate and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
‘In My Mind’ is a highly interactive magic show performed over Zoom. The audience directly participates on-screen with the performer and takes part in making the magic happen.
Various never-before-seen and original illusions are presented through this hour-long, theatrical production.
Zoom’s capabilities are pushed beyond its limits with third-party programs specifically built for magicians to perform virtually, bringing audiences around the world a seamless, interactive experience.
The entire show is curated to take you out of the headspace of yet-another Zoom meeting and immerse you into pure illusion and wonder.
